Great mindfulness book for women

Found this a bit too emotional in the sense of too lovey dovey.

I'd say it's excellent for women that are or would want to know about mindfulness.

To Keep and To Share!

I read the hardcover of this and it had a profound calming influence on my day to day, so much so that I have purchased several copies and given them to dear friends. I am grateful now to be able to listen to the audible version as well. I am an avid podcast and audiobook listener, and Ms. Cameron's soothing voice is perfect. I was fortunate enough to attend a mindfulness meditation led by Ms. Cameron, so I am familiar with her methods, pace, and effectiveness. This book is excellent, truly made even better by being narrated by Ms. Cameron. Glad to have her along for the ride!

Great book

Started and took a few times to slow down enough to find it “good.” I’m so glad I finished this book. Wonderful and helpful to watch and look out for every day awe and beauty.

Good listen.

Even though I already explored world of mindfulness this book can give you more options and views upon the field. Definitely recommend.

I want to keep listening to this book forever!

I read a hard copy of this book first because it wasn't on audible yet and i loved it but I love it so much more on Audible. Listening to it just puts me in such a great frame of mind, even before I actually start practicing the exercises described! Cameron's voice is perfect, it's like listening to a guided meditation! As I was listening I was trying to analyze why is affected me so much and I realized it was her language. The vocabulary is so positive I started jotting the words down: Cultivate, nurture, navigate, light, purposeful, revel, pleasure, invite, nourish, intentional, notice, appreciate, savor, relish, marvel, wonder. Or, a word, mindfulness. I had it playing in the car while my 9-year-old was sleeping but when he woke up instead of asking me switch it to something else he started listening too and now asks me to turn it on when we get in the car. I never want to stop listening to this book!!!

life changing

This book literally changed my life. It inspired me to start my own meditation practice in the mornings, which has made a huge difference in my day, my family, my life. Laurie's voice is so calming, I would often start my meditation with listening to some of this book. Do yourself a favor and listen to this book and see what changes in your life.

Great book with such wonderful insights

Definitely will read/ listen this book again. It has such great ideas and they are so simply explained. However, there is do much information that re-reading/ listening would be good.

Alot of good info!

Nothing groundbreaking but a good collection of many tips and suggestions put together in an easy to listen guide. Nor too many boring personal stories and good advice for your average person.

Life grounding and enhancing!

I have read the hardcopy version and bought copies for many family members and friends as gifts because I loved it so much! I have seen the author speak on several occasions and have participated in a 2 day mindfulness workshop she led. I was so excited when the audio book came out with her voice! She has such a calming voice and I love being able to take her powerful lessons on the go with me to listen to in the car, while soaking in the bath, or on a walk. I have read other mindfulness books and this one is so well researched and organized and includes very personal and meaningful stories that I could relate to. When I start to find myself getting caught up in the busyness of life again, regrounding myself with a chapter of The Mindful Day is very helpful.
