Stronger than the first book
This second book has cleaner writing. The first one was all drama and not a lot of substance. I don’t think I would have finished the book if I wasn’t wanting to read more of Jessica Khoury.

Disappointing ending
Both books in series have you on edge of your seat then drop you at end. The next book in series doesnt even look anything remotely close to first 2 books.

Ok but not compelling
The story will entertain some and take a place among dozens of other dragon series, but not near enough to the top to compel me to read on.
