Virtual voice struggles
Overall good story lines, complex character builds/backstories and several great paths happening in the book that keep you on your toes. Overall it is a fine read, but the virtual voice AI aspect is brutal. Reading of numbers, codes, dates etc (anything numeric) is absolutely brutal and eats up probably 2 chapters worth of the book. FWIW I think it would be tough in any capacity to translate that to an audiobook with a human narrator, but I had to fast forward through large sections that were completely intolerable. Would probably be much better to read in a physical copy, if you can get around the virtual voice aspects (I did not like the voice on this one as much as the 1st in the series but that’s personal preference) a solid continuation and looking forward to the next.
