After the death of Ariel's mother, the queen of the sea, the seven daughters of King Triton have grown estranged at best. It's been years since Ariel's older sisters have visited home. Finally fifteen, she will be dubbed the Protector of her very own ocean territory as is tradition, and her sisters have agreed to visit for the celebration.

To rescue Mala, Ariel must work together with her siblings, traveling to various seas, outsmarting dangerous ocean creatures, and delving into forbidden waters to find the truth of what happened to their mother.

But as Ariel and her sisters begin uncovering new secrets about their family and their kingdom, Ariel will have to face the loss of a mother she never had a chance to know and discover what it means to be both a good sister and a strong leader. And the clock is ticking, because on the day of the festival, when the moon turns a true shade of coral, her sister will be lost, like her mother, forever.

The Little mermaid good book!!! I love it Everybody should read it. Hope a second to come out.

AGINST THE TIDES OF TIME AND FAMILY

I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS STORY, IT IS ABOUT ARIEL OF COURSE, AND IS ABOUT TO BECOME A PROTECTOR OF HER OWN OCEAN, BUT SEA SERPENTS AND FRIENDS FACE BETRAYALS NEVER IMAGINED, WITH URSULA AS THE MASTERMIND OF IT ALL.
ARIELS OLDER SISTER IS MATED TO A SEA MONSTER. THIS I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MERMAIDS MATE WITH MERMAN OR HUMAN MEN. I HOPE DISNEY DID A BETTER JOB WITH THE MOVIE.....

NARRATOR DID A FANTASTIC JOB, BUT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR CHILDREN OR TEENS.

It’s hard to find flaws with this story. Everything about it was wonderful. The story, the voice, the narration. J. Elle has a special way of writing that makes you care for each character.

Hi I loved this book so much. I was honestly disappointed when it ended. If you are considering getting this book, you will not be disappointed

I love the back story to the little mermaid. I thought it was neat that each sister had a special power through their singing. I wish they would have included that in the movie. I also think that the book did good on focusing on the sister’s relationship unlike in the movie where it felt like they were background characters.
