If an Audiobook Could Be a Hug
Listening to this audiobook was like receiving a warm hug! I had purchased the book but hadn’t kept up with it so I decided to try the audio version. Jodi seems to be so lovable; by far, my very favorite part was hearing how Ariel’s whispered good-bye to her father came about. Was touched by Jodi’s verb explanation of everything that good-bye meant. BEAUTIFUL! It meant much to me as a 4yo, and continues today. About to go pop The Little Mermaid on to watch with my kids.

I really was ... Part of her world
It was like Ariel was reading to me and you really saw how much of Ariel was Jodi all along ... down to her giggles.
I loved listening to her story so very much so very much.
However, I was truly and genuinely blessed that all throughout her book ... Jodi's faith in God & Christ was expressed, shined, spilled over and over ... It was like being in church (in a blessed way). It made me love (reverently) Jodi more and feel closer to God bc Jodi never strayed from her humanity so I was reminded constantly that my flesh is broken, my humanity is flawed but in Christ, I am made whole.
It is truly amazing how God took a simple girl ... made her into a singing mermaid and then changed the world with her testimony.
