Ever conscious of the passage of critical seconds, I felt I was not just hearing, but living all of the moving parts of an impossible search and rescue for two young men in the formidable winter weather and daunting terrain of the Whites. Outstanding!
As an avid hiker of the White Mountains, this was an incredible story of how quickly things can go wrong, especially in winter. Also a story of bravery for the SAR teams involved! Really enjoyed it!

Felt like I was on that mountain.
Wonderful account of a tragic event. The amount and level of the details made it not only interesting, but very educational. Enjoyed it so much that I immediately moved on to the author’s second book.
