Fun book, but didn't care much for the narrator

The story was great. it has excellent internal consistency. I only wish that "the flowering" had occurred, as it was said to be happening very soon, and that this event had played some minor role.

I didn't care for the voice acting. The late night DJ voice didn't fit the mood of the book at all. I also cringed every time he spoke with a womans voice.

Good entertainment during Pandemic...

I loved this book for being so dependably good.
Didn’t try to be sexy. Didn’t try to teach anything. Wasn’t predictable, but didn’t disappoint, kept my interest for many hours. Characters were likeable, hateable, and strong.
Loved every minute of this story. Want more. A+

Excellent Series

I really enjoyed this series great characters Ins good storyline. I would recommend this series to any post apocalyptic or dystopian genre fan.

Couldn't Stop Listening

I loved these books! I would still be listening at 3am.
The story line was never boring & the narrator did a great job with different sounding voices for characters and has a voice that is very easy to listen to.
I am going to be starting the RUINS next!

Fun and Entertaining

Fun story, with some surprises. Held my attention. Liked the reader too. Will look at more from this author.

Slow start great finish

It took me awhile to get into the story but once I did I was hooked. The characters are all compelling and the twists and turns of each character was worthy of GOT.
By the last book I was obsessed I could not wait to hear how it all worked out yet did not want it to end.

I am woman hear me roar!

I finished the set. All six books. It was a good listen, but it is not a survival story. Think more of Lord of the Rings with a woman as the hero. Not sure if I would listen to another like it. Heroines are not my thing.

Good until the end

The first 4 books were pretty good, the 5th started getting wordy and the 6th took over a week to listen to because it was so wordy. I felt like they added thoughts and feelings in detail just to fill space. And, I'm not a fan of books where women with absolutely no experience are made into military geniuses. It wouldn't work for me if it was a man but it seems like authors feel obligated to do that with women. I have 5 daughters so don't think I'm against women. I root for them but know none of them could pull off military defenses and attacks with no experience.

was a great series

this was a great series of books I would recommend to anyone. the narrator did great. I really liked I could get the last survivors then the ruins in box sets made it a very good find for the money.
