Love Adrian McKinty

I have read all of McKinty’s books and I think he is one of the best thriller writers around. The Island is no exception. I prefer his stories set in Northern Ireland but this had an interesting blend of what seemed to be an old Irish clan and one families struggle to survive. The tension slowly builds and then keeps up nonstop until the end of the story. Because of this I read the book in a day and a half. If you are looking for a new thriller that has an interesting blend this is the book for you. We

So much action

This book is exhausting! Do not read before going to sleep your adrenal will be working overtime!

So good. So thrilling.

I loved this book. Not sure why anyone said anything about the narration. I thought it was great. The characters were well thought out and you cared about them. The plot was well rounded too. One of the best listens of the year for me. It’s so cinematic!

Edge of My Seat

This book had no dull moments. I couldn’t stop listening, and the suspense was crazy. Could definitely see this becoming a movie.

More graphic than needed

First, I'm a big McKinty fan. But this one is far fetched and graphic. Couldn't finish it.

It ended too soon

This is a great story. As with any book I really enjoy, I wish it had been another couple of hours.
If you loved The Chain, you will love The Island. It’s an original idea, great character development, and twists til the end

Great Thriller

Loved this book. Very suspensful and it moved right along. I would definitely recommend it if you like thrillers!

Some chapters too gory and graphic But all in all a very suspenseful. Sind effects were good in some chapters

As above it’s another McKinty audiobook and it did not disappoint! What is up next?

Why Bad Reviews?

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Initially, the narrator was a little annoying, but I got used to it and it was no longer a problem. As far as the story, do you have to suspend your disbelief at times? Well, yes, but even so, there was good action and the story kept my attention. I’m glad I purchased it.
