The beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico are spectacular at any time of the year, but if you are seeing them for the first time, they are breathtaking.
So it was for Lori and Deavereau. Not only were the beaches beautiful, but from the time they stepped off of the plane in Tampa, drank in the fresh salt air, and viewed the deep blue sky, they both wondered why they had not done this before. A vacation from up north to the land of sunshine and sea air…it seemed like heaven to them both.
Just starting on a new adventure like this one, so different from the many cases they had traveled to close, was like a dream come true. A whole week, maybe more, no bad guys, no lost artifacts, no violence, just relaxation and beauty, who could want more than that?
Then, like a thief in the night, their plans were taken from them. How could they know that by just looking up a friend of a friend would lead to a new adventure they did not ask for and certainly did not want?
They had never heard of an INCUNABLE, let alone have any desire to find one. As their new case unraveled it seems to have as many questions and it did answers. Who was the owner of the fantastic Vinoy Hotel? Was the charming manager of the bookstore who she said she was? How about old Del? Was he telling the truth or was he just trying to dodge a bullet?
Could an old acquaintance from another case help them through his knowledge? Could their lives be at risk and maybe lost without help? Many doors will open, but will they stay open or close behind Devereau?
