It has Everything.

This beautiful story has romance, mystery, LGBTQIA representation and heart throughout. Milena McKay weaves a story that draws you in with such exquisite words and descriptions. It’s easy to visualize the scenes she creates so effortlessly and to be fully invested in the characters. She is an excellent story teller. The narration by Abbey Craden is flawless, sensual, and pure fire. These two make a perfect team. My only regret is that I finished the beautiful journey too soon! LOVE!

Hours of pure delight…

The book was amazing and Abby Craden knocks the audio out the park. This entire production masterpiece is so amazing from beginning to end. It’s engaging, sweet, suspensive and the right amount HEAT! Hope the short epilogue book makes it way down from the audible heaven. Amazing writing and the perfect choice for narrator!!!

NOT predictable and ON FIRE!

So yes, you know a couple of things- it’s a romance and two of the main characters are women. I enjoyed the narration. It was different but intriguing and sensual, which is a pretty good combination. Second, there’s a mystery, social and economic issues, haunting and beautiful setting and plenty of plot twist. Not enough? This will seal the deal- there’s a very peculiar, endearing (to some) and clever cat! Use that credit! I know your fingers are ready!

This was absolutely amazing, abby craden has done it again. go listen you will not be disappointed. I just finished it and I want to go and listen to it again.

An absolute must listen!

Ok, so i never, and i emphasize never, actually leave a full review. Normally i give my stars and call it good. However, this book hit every single note for me, strong, believable characters, an adorable grump-cat with a heart of gold, cute as a button Lilly (myself being a proud trans-woman), intrigue, danger, and yes, even a “Star Trek” reference!! This book has built a permanent home on the landscape of my heart that i will definitely revisit over and over. Thank you dear Author; you have found a new and devoted fan!

Utterly Captivating!

I am utterly enraptured by this book—by the story, the setting, the characters, everything! I knew within the first few chapters this would become one of my all time favorite novels…and the rest of the book did not disappoint. It is not often that a story embeds itself into my soul the way The Headmistress did. Milena McKay’s writing is just as captivating as the setting and characters she created. Abby Craden’s narration was flawless as always and brought each distinct character to life…and her voice for Magdalene F*ing Nox was 🔥🔥🔥!

This was a story that captured my attention and my heart from the first pages. I laughed, I cried, I held my breath. I felt every emotion and lived each moment as though they were my own. This is a book that I will be reading again and again!

Perfection

This is the best book I've listened to of 2022, I can't stress how well rounded this book is and how much kudos the auther and narrator deserve. Five stars isn't enough to give for this title.

Intriguing to the max.

I actually listened to this story twice. Abby Craden do a a wonderful job with characters here as she did in Aurora’s Angel, another favorite.

The story is fun and exciting with twists I did not anticipate.

The sex scenes are not too explicit, which can be good or bad, depending on your personal preferences.

The Headmistress

I thought that I might not ever finish this book bc I kept revisiting so many scenes.

If you find well-written, relatively graphic Sapphic sex scenes engrossing to the point of distraction, then this is the book for you. However, keep in mind that driving, shopping & doing chores while listening to it can be hazardous. Or at least that was my (happy) experience, lol.

This was really well done! The story was good and the voices of the characters were mesmerizing- easy to listen to and follow along.
