It's a very very good performance. He is very pleasant to listen to and he gave the story a lot of additonal character. in a good way.

story was very slow at times and I grabbed this book because the second one was so good. if I had read this one first I never would have bothered to read the second.

Long on the descriptive; short on rationale

The whole point seems to be to examine reactions to the end of the world.

Interesting

It was a very interesting and unusual audiobook. Hard to follow at times but I still couldn’t put it down. The end pulls everything together.

Spellbinding & Terrifying

This is one of the best sci-fi novels I have EVER READ!

Alien beings bring contradictory messages to the people of Earth. Which are you going to believe?! How can you discover what the truth really is? How should mankind react to these puzzling visitors from another world? How much should you make public? These are questions that some of the Earth's leaders have to ask themselves and the "experts" with whom they consult. The messages the alien beings bring are unsettling, to say the least! And throughout the story, the tension and sense of foreboding builds, but you can't put the book down! You've GOT to find out what's going to happen! You tell yourself it's just a work of fiction, but that doesn't untie the knot in your stomach or let the rest of your body or mind relax. The characters pull you into their world, and their emotions are contagious! You'll feel like you're on an emotional roller coaster ride, if you read this book. It's a gripping adventure into the unknown!

It's a good story, very well written and performed

Not a bad story, it simply didn't draw me in and hold my attention like I had expected.

Huge pay off

What a treat this book was, a little slow to start but with a huge payoff at the end, anxiety is what this book should be called.

Capable but uninspired.

There is little to set this apart from the myriad “first contact” books. A third of the way through I got the sinking suspicion this was a “first act” which existed only to set up sequels.

To much hopeless despair.

It wasn’t a bad book, but just not my taste. The characters were all pretty pointless. There was very little any of them could do. The entire human race was just on for the ride. It was very depressing, and I don’t like depressing stories.

Kaboom!

Read it 4ish times. Listened too it 3. He did something right. Time for the sequel for a 3rd time.
