Great story about people fighting to survive despite all odds against them.

I love long apocalypse stories. This one did not disappoint me. Wonderful characters and great stories regarding each. This book kept my interest all the way till the end.

Wow, what can I say?

This story has two good points, it is thought provoking and Aaron Shedlock’s narration. The story is just too long and too miserable. It should not be published in a six book package, there is too much drudgery. If there had been an occasional bright spot it would have been more tolerable. Nobody needs 26 and a half hours of this. Another issue for me is the skipping narration, The story was so hard to stomach then it jumped to another person’s hard to stomach story that was so hard to catch up on. Post apocalyptic fiction, by its nature, is drudgery and the writer needs to take that into account. Throw the listener an occasional bone.

Strong characters

Once you suspend reality the events move at a nice pace. Good and bad characters die which adds some realism.

Oh my goodness…

I absolutely loved this series! I didn’t expect the heartbreak and tears but it was all worth it in the end. Many sad parts as the series went along but still…had such hope at the end. The narrators did a lovely job also. This isn’t the first I’ve purchased from this author and I can promise it won’t be my last!

good idea

I like the idea the story is based on, but after forcing myself to listen to the whole series because I paid for it. the overall story is pretty bad it is definitely a woman's book. the men are portrayed to be weak and scared and need the women to step up and protect them and by the end of the series most men are dead and there is an army of bad ass women .lol overall I like the idea the story was built on but the details is ehat killed it. and all the fight scenes are super fast and slightly silly how they end.

Time you will never get back

Felt like Barbie and Ken are in a Dystopian World which was drawn with crayons. The author and narrators appeared to be competing for a “who could make this worse on the listener” award.
Simply, the Worst.
