Something smells fishy in the estate of Earton, and despite Aliya's prudence she attracts both curiosity and jealousy. She is too different from the Lilian everyone knew. Will they discover her truth?

As if dealing with corruption, discontent, famine and devastation weren’t enough, she has to take care of her stepdaughter Miranda, who acts like a spoiled little brat. Lilian is determined; she will not let her authority be undermined.

Silent times make way for a turbulent storm. While Aliya is cleaning the castle of both dust and snitches, her husband the Earl of Earton meets the now widowed Adele. Will he be able to uncover her sinister plans? Meanwhile Prince Richard is allowed to choose his bride. Will princess Anna of Welster succeed in conquering his heart and keep the Jester satisfied?

Outstanding Story!

Wonderful storyline as well as great characterization, this part two of the series is a terrific read. The Audible just adds to the pleasure.

Absolutely Great!

I have read all the books in this series and love the ongoing story of a 21st Century doctor who wakes up in the Middle Ages in another world. When I decided to re-read them, I took a chance and ordered the audible version. I have to say that I was not disappointed. My only disappointment is that the whole series is not yet available from Audible.

Strong Woman

I realize that the persons body she moved into is not who she is now but I still do not like the husband. All of the things he found wrong with her, are the same short comings in himself.

Put the kids to bed!

I find myself trying to put my children to bed earlier than usual so I can listen. I haven’t turn on a movie because I prefer to listen to Lina’s book. This is a must listen/read for women who want to become more.

Good story; fair narrator

The story is good. When the narrator does make voices she sounds like a computer and very monotone.

Know before you commit to the series that audible does not carry the entire series.

It just get's better!

So I blew by the first book in the first day. Figured heck let me see how many books in the series and noticed that audible has only 2 books while audiobook has 3. So I purchased the second one here. Needless to say it didn't disappoint. The author really does a tremendous job at building up the main character Lilly. Really gets me invested into the story line and how she foreshadows parts of the story is absolutely tremendous. I love the character development and how empathetic she is with folks. Something that doesn't seem to be very popular with others in the book. I love the connection between her and her step daughter.

This is as good as the first book in the series.

I am loving ❤ this series of books and am going to get the next book in the series. Lily is a fascinating and strong woman in a world of women not being able to do anything.
