How much difference and narrator makes a story

No disrespect to anyone who helped make this audiobook, but this audiobook is not up to the standard you guys have set. The narrator was not on the same level as the last narrator. He didn’t bring the book to life as it’s normally is, when I listened to it. The book by itself is awesome. It was like makers tried to remake a really good recipe but re-created it with crappy ingredients. I hope for the rest of the series, the makers return to Gilbert Jackson, as narrator. Other than the narration, everything else was awesome as usual.

Narrator sucks

Narrator sucks, glad he isn’t in the next book! Good book otherwise. Looking forward to a sequel book to help bring the series to an end

Great Story! Even with a different narrator.

I missed Gildart Jackson's narration of the story. Stewart Crank did a good job but by book 11 every character was owned by Gildart except for those who were introduced in this book.

The series has taken a more dark and dreary tone since the more bubble gum like beginning. It makes sense since we are coming towards the end of the series. This book felt similar to book 9.

I have enjoyed the character development of the new characters. This is a great series and well worth the listen.

im so disappointed after 10 books they swich the narrator dramatically it takes away from the characters personality that has been built up.

Switch

I didn’t love the new narrative. I fell in love with the original narrative’s voice Gildart Jackson and the life he gave to the characters. So it was not as enjoyable experience listening to someone else tell the tale. There were a few times in the story where the narrator got the gender of the companion animals mixed up.

Poor narration.

The change of narration sucks! This narrator did not do this story justice. After having only one narrator for so many of the earlier books in the series to change into someone that could not give life to the characters was really a let down.

Be Fair to the Narrator!

Unlike a lot of the reviews I read for this book in the series, I must be fair to the narrator. I believe that if the series had started out with this narrator people would be perfectly happy as he did a great job. Truly, it was off-putting to have the narrator change in the middle of a series when the previous narrator was excellent, however the story being written so well and the narrator being good at his craft did not take away from my enjoyment of this book. I will be seeking out books being performed by this narrator as soon as I complete this series.

my least favorite book of the series

The biggest shock to the system was switching narrators. Why would you use a different narrator when you're almost done with the series? I loved Gilbert Jackson. The new narrator was good. But having to get used to how different characters sound was challenging. I couldn't really get into the book. The storyline had lots of nare do wells and intrigue. So hopefully readers can get into it.

New narrator messed me up

Great story as usual but the change in narrator, although talented, threw me off after so many books in the series with the original narrator. Series this long is like a relationship and I felt cheated on.

Great story line as usual!
No offense to the reader, but changing narrators on the 11th installment was absolutely the worst thing about this book. Completely confusing trying to understand who was who as none of the character voices were what I, personally, have grown accustomed to.
