Acerca de esta escucha
Despite the government's best efforts to explain it away, after nearly 70 years, Roswell is a story that just won't disappear. Parents who were present during or immediately after the incident may have passed on, but their children know what happened‚ and have paid dearly for their knowledge. These are their stories. You will finally learn the truth about:
- The daughter of a witness to an alien body who discovered that her phone had been bugged for years.
- How the US Air Force tried to change the mind of the son of the Roswell intelligence officer in 1995.
- What really became of the son of the principle witness, who disappeared in 1960.
These are stories worth hearing that force you to think about why the government would go to such lengths to keep these families quiet.

Historia
This classic in the field of ufology is filled with hard-hitting eyewitness testimony of one of the most important events of all time: the actual recovery of a UFO outside of Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. For more than seventy years, government authorities have led us to believe the wreckage was merely a very conventional weather balloon - but the witnesses who were there continue to tell a different story. Witness to Roswell once again provides a "can't put down" written account of what really transpired in Roswell decades ago.

As we approach the 70th anniversary of the most significant UFO event of all time, best-selling author Donald R. Schmitt takes a fresh look at the renowned incident. Previous books on Roswell, including his, have focused on the witnesses, their families, and the history of the case. Cover-Up at Roswell catalogs the extreme measures the US government exercised to suppress the truth. How they silenced military witnesses clearly demonstrates their need to prevent the facts from leaking out.

Of the many books on UFOs and aliens, this one may be unique. Richard Dolan, one of the world’s leading historians of the UFO subject, has analyzed the different alien types and agendas based on longstanding patterns observed by witnesses. This is both a careful review of the best evidence we have of human-alien interaction, as well as a bold speculation of just who the aliens are and what they want. Dolan’s analysis starts with our ancient prehistory and potential genetic modifications and monitoring by extraterrestrials.

This book, which fundamentally changed the way we understand close encounters and alien abductions, is presented here with a new introduction by the author. Do not miss this great classic and the powerful introduction that explores the situation as it stands today—even more provocative and important now, as official sources are admitting that UFOs are real unknowns and that they seem to have something to do with close encounters.

The UFO enigma has been part of our culture since the 1940s and is building to a worldwide explosion of acceptance today. Now, as governments around the world open their files and records on internal UFO investigations, the US remains steadfast in its denial of interest in the UFO issue. As more of the world's population accepts the possibility of an extraterrestrial presence, the demand is building for disclosure from the United States.

Historia
On New Year’s Day 2013, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Gene Weingarten asked three strangers to, literally, pluck a day, month, and year from a hat. That day - chosen completely at random - was Sunday, December 28, 1986, by any conventional measure a most ordinary day. Weingarten spent the next six years proving that there is no such thing. That Sunday between Christmas and New Year’s turned out to be filled with comedy, tragedy, implausible irony, cosmic comeuppances, kindness, cruelty, heroism, cowardice, genius, idiocy, and much more....

Over the course of less than 24 hours in the spring of 1921, Tulsa’s infamous “Black Wall Street” was wiped off the map - and erased from the history books. Historia
On July 27, 1996, a hapless former cop turned hypervigilant security guard named Richard Jewell spotted a suspicious bag in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park, the town square of the 1996 Summer Games. Inside was a bomb, the largest of its kind in FBI and ATF history. Minutes later, the bomb remotely detonated by the attacker amid a crowd of 50,000 people. But thanks to Jewell, it only killed two and wounded 111, not the hundreds who authorities estimated could have otherwise died. With the eyes of the world on Atlanta, the games continued.

Howard Hughes was a true American original: legendary lover, record-setting aviator, award-winning film producer, talented inventor, ultimate eccentric, and, for much of his lifetime, the richest man in the United States. His desire for privacy was so fierce and his isolation so complete that even now, 25 years after his death, inaccurate stories continue to circulate, and many have been published as fact. Hughes explodes the illusion of his life and exposes the man behind the myth. He was a playboy whose sexual exploits with Hollywood stars were legendary.

Historia
At the height of World War II, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, was home to 75,000 residents, consuming more electricity than New York City. But to most of the world, the town did not exist. Thousands of civilians - many of them young women from small towns across the South - were recruited to this secret city, enticed by solid wages and the promise of war-ending work. Kept very much in the dark, few would ever guess the true nature of the tasks they performed each day in the hulking factories in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains.

Narrator botches things, nice book nonetheless
I felt the book was good, but at times I was concerned the authors fed me a lot of speculation as absolute fact, and as a long term UFO buff, I did not like that.
However the narrator was the most distracting element of the audiobook even though his voice was very pleasant. He mispronounced Mac Brazel as Mac BraZEL, but worse, Roswell was ROSS Well. Of course these are small pronunciation issues and not in itself worthy of a bad rating but I found that I could not become engaged with the narrators performance as I didn't feel he was familiar with his subject matter. For clarification, would you enjoy an autobiography on Einstein if the narrator called him EinSTEEN? probably not, probably you would think 'the narrator has never heard of Einstein?' And that's why I give it a low score. The narrator has obviously never heard of Roswell, or Mac Brazel, yet was hired to read a book about it. I don't get it.

Hungry for more!!!
This book was a blast to listen to! I loved every second of the almost 8 hours listening to the details and research done by the two authors. They paint the picture as if I were back in 47 in Roswell

Repetitive
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Yes, some new material. this is just a repeated excerpts from the first book.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Stated above. I might add that the narrator of the first book was much better.
Have you listened to any of Barry Abrams’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I don't think I have heard him before
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Maybe
Any additional comments?
I will return this, as it is just a repeat of some of the information from the first book and presented exactly the same. The first book was very in depth with much new material I had never heard, but this one just repeated what they wrote in that first book in limited form.

Good story to add to previous knowledge of the Roswell Crash.

Lots of Conjecture, Little Evidence & an Unremarkable Performance
Better writing & organization might have made this a better book. Another book, "Witness to Roswell," covers these "testimonies" more keenly. A good editor might have stripped this book of its many redundancies & duplications. Disappointing. PERFORMANCE: The reader punctuates his droning performance by strangely emphasizing a word or phrase. His attempts at characterization, particularly of female "witnesses" is more distracting than effective.

Nothing new, wrong narration style, poor editing
Title says it all. Narrated like fiction. Repeated info like reworded sentence but didn't remove the first sentence. Example: X, died in a car accident shortly after getting his license. A couple minutes later; X died in a car accident many years ago.
