The way Holcombe threads the history of UFO’s around each president since the Roosevelt-Truman era, provided me with an incredibly factual and deep understanding of not only all major UFO sightings and events over the last 70 plus years, but also with a detailed account of the US government’s cover-up response to them as well. Additionally, Holcombe provides references to additional books and online sources in the event the reader wants to drill down further on an event or an individual.

I recommend this book to anyone looking to expand their knowledge of the modern history of alien visitation to our planet.

Well done! Makes the case for…

Laid out in a matter of fact historical manor, this is a well done and competent essay on the visitation of earth by others. It more than makes the case that we have been and are being visited and observed by intelligent beings from somewhere else.

not a lot of substance

in addition to sounding like it was written by an old man (it was), it was also only moderately interesting for the first few parts and then i lost interest. and i love alien stuff!

One of the best books ever

I’ve done 22 years of research into uFOs and would certainly have appreciated having this book sooner, as it is comprehensive of the more important UFO reports, and a good overview of the critical issues. The style is accessible and well written.

Good but not great

The book is narrated well and well written but the facts and case studies are old and already quite well known. Unless you are a die-hard conspiracy fan, this book will disappoint you.
