After a fateful discussion during his incarceration with a seasoned convict, Damon had a spiritual awakening. He learned that, like a coffee bean changing with the application of heat and pressure, he was capable of changing the environment around him. Armed with a program of recovery, a renewed faith, and a miraculous second chance at life, Damon emerged from over seven years of prison a changed man. His story of redemption continues to inspire audiences today.

An incredible story about triumph, faith, and hope. The events that occur in this compelling story proves that everything does in fact happen for a reason. Finding your faith is never easy, but once you learn to surrender to a higher power a whole new world of possibilities presents itself. With belief and faith this once troubled addict who turned to criminal acts to feed his habit shares an inspirational comeback story that everyone can learn from.

Modern Day Bible Story

The Damon West story is the modern day story of God’s work and magic. From beginning to end you’ll notice parallel’s from Jesus & notable characters. The rise and fall of a human being - something most of us have in our lives big or small. The fight with the black bandit was the most powerful message of God’s triumph. If you’re not convinced God is at work in his story I don’t know how else you will start to believe. Thank you for sharing your story.

Wow!! Hard to pause this one once you start listening!

Damon shares his story with such authenticity & transparency!! I’ve never been tempted to use drugs, but this story still challenged me to use my time even more for serving others! Anyone middle school age and older could benefit from reading/listening to this book, and every school should have Damon come speak to their kids!!

A story of hope that I’m glad to have found.

It was such a touching book throughout. It was so informative in all levels. Praise God for Damon West. His life, his story must be told. What a blessing he is and testament to what God can do, the doors he can open when we turn our lives over to him striving to be the best we can be.

When we use our dark times—challenging moments and see them as opportunities to grow and deepen our relationship, trust and belief in God, that is when God does his greatest work in us.

This is a book I will now recommend to everyone.

Very Inspirational!

I have personally heard Damon West speak and he is very inspirational. I have used his Coffee Bean story with a few of my hard to reach students and they love his story as well. I often ask if that is a choice of a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean. Makes them think really hard about the choices they are about to make. Glad that Damon has been able to turn his life around and have a beautiful family that supports him.
