I really enjoyed this book

I really enjoyed this book. A romantic love story where characters are so stubborn that they run away from their problems in which of course destroys their lives and they live miserable. You just got to get to find out what happens next. And the narrator does an excellent job. You won’t be disappointed. A must get.

typical story, but i really enjoyed it

There wasn't any surprises or shocking moments in this book. It really is a typical story of neighbors falling in love, finally acting on those feeling, misunderstandings followed by years of separation because of those misunderstanding, getting together, more misunderstanding breaking up and finally ending up together. Some of the misunderstandings to me seemed a bit ridiculous, but the characters being so young i can see how it could happen. Everything between the main couple seemed to go back to what they had in the beginning a bit too quickly, but overall i enjoyed the book.

Excellent Audible book

Talk about a great second chance love story filled with off the charts heat, these two authors have hit a grand slam! Axel and Olive have been in love since they were kids. A bad choice when they were teenagers pulled them apart. Now Axel is back. I love how we watch Olive decide what to share with him and if she can open up her heart to him again. The authors do a great job of character development. The narrator brings the listener right into the story. Her words flow smoothly and I enjoy listening to her. I asked to receive this free Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. I highly recommend this Audible book.

Wonderful story!

This story had me going through some ups and downs. I loved the characters and the storyline. Each made a mistake and are paying for it years later. Axel became a boxer at a young age. He grew quickly and was well known. He has this mantra he follows and it works....until something changes. One min I feel sorry for Axel but then a second later I am so disgusted with him I can’t stand it. He redeemed himself but it wasn’t an easy road.

This is my first book by this author. The story was good and I came to care about the characters. Holly Holt narrated this and did a good job.

Friends to Lovers with Good Narration

A rollercoaster friends to lovers story, complete with HEA. Very likeable characters with Axel and Olive having a well defined depth. While I enjoyed the story, I could only give it a 3 as Ok really felt the chapters and scenes needed to flow together better.

The narration was enjoyable with a good range of voices and smooth flow.

An all around enjoyable narrated book.

Everyone loves a bad boy and you can't help but fall for the sexy bad-boy Axel and his amazing tale with the girl-next-door.

A Classic Story

This classic story of love is realistic. This kind of love story happens now and could easily be relatable to listeners. I love this audio. It’s as if I was in the story wishing I could convince Olive to give a try for Lark.

A good story with excellent characterization. Axle is a boxer, something I know little about, with more than a little bad boy going on. It causes him some problems especially when it comes to the only relationship that matters to him.

I never understand how someone who proclaims to love someone can shut that person out for long periods of time when there is such obvious caring back. To me it shows weak fearful character and the strength of their love is diminished. There is also something lost in the tale.

The Holly Holt did an excellent job narrating.

Cute

Boy do I love Axel! I wish their was a longer chapter about Axel going to pound town on Jason! Story was really good and enjoyed the narrator?, Holly. Definitely a cute story of secret baby romance!

They finally got it right!

Normandie Alleman has succeeded in giving me whiplash while reading this second, third and fourth chance romance! Axel and Olive have been best friends and each other's supporter since they were young. They grew up next door from each other and, as they grew, so did their feelings for one another. After one passionate night, Axel disappears from Olive's life without so much as a word. He had left to become a professional wrestler and Olive understands that she was never worth much to him. So she thinks. 9 months later, she has Lark, but Axel will never know he has a daughter. How can he...he's disappeared! To his credit, Axel tries to get in touch with her but she won't take his calls. Back and forth, they miss or ignore each other. Maddening! When they finally get their act together and appear to be figuring out how to love one another without letting anything interfere with them, along comes a devious blackmailer...Axel's own business manager! He has photos that could ruin him, let alone Olive, so Axel decides it would be best if he distanced himself from her. Both Axel and Olive seem to think they know what's best for the other and, without discussing it, take off or refuse phone calls. Push away, pull back, push, pull...whiplash! It is time for these two to realize that they are a couple with a child. The journey to their HEA was bumpy but they eventually got there. How sweet it was! Lark was the glue that bound them and, if I were ever to have a best friend, I want it to be Selena! She was the mirror that showed Olive and Axel the truth.
Holly Holt did a marvelous job with the narration. All of the voices were clear, concise and they added to the enjoyment of the story.
