Riveting
I enjoyed all aspects of this audio book! The narrator was excellent with the many characters he voiced. The pacing perfect. And the story? Totally believable...in spite of it being speculative fiction. I was caught up in the action right away. It's good to know that The Awakened is the first in a series!!

Resurrected
For a while, I'd been searching for a good book to listen to. Unfortunately, many fantasy novels left a bad taste due to their explicit content. However, I came across this series which not only provided a clean reading or listening experience, but also reinforced a personal truth I've kept aside. As humans, we often struggle and are influenced more than we'd like, but these books affirmed the strength we find in Christ. A big thank you to Richard Spillman for his impactful work. Keep doing Gods work, stay strong, and I'm eagerly awaiting your next book.

Matt Hicks brings this excellent story to life!
I love Richard Spillman’s book, The Awakened, and had already read it on my own. Getting to listen to it on audio brought another layer of depth to the story. Hicks does an excellent job with the many varieties of accents, as well as keeping me on the edge of my seat with his narration skills. I listen to audiobooks all the time and this one I devoured in less than 24 hours! Can’t wait for the next installment in the series.

Exciting, thrilling, and well written story!
I truly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading book 2! The book is well written, exciting, and has great character development. I love books that make me laugh out loud. While this book is not written to be a humorous book, the author has included quotes from both books and movies that add humor to the story. I also really enjoy the Biblical aspect of the book and that it is written in a way that even a non-Christian could enjoy the book and hopefully be inspired to learn more about who Jesus is and what he has to offer. Thank you Dr. Spillman, great book!
