I really wanted to like this book, but I just couldn’t get through it even though it’s pretty short. The narrator’s voice was tough to listen to, almost like an AI. The author’s advice felt off, often too simplistic and out of touch with real-life complexities. Some of the guidance came across as dismissive, encouraging avoidance of problems rather than addressing underlying issues. It just didn’t resonate with me. It was poorly executed, from the writing to the narration. I ended up putting it down before I could finish.

I tried to give this book a fair chance but I got to the point where I just couldn’t take any more of it. The intro in itself was a bit much but I figured the author just wanted to be abrasive to catch the listener’s attention, but then the rest of the writing was also unbearable to listen to so I stopped. I think this is the first book on audible where I couldn’t just suck it up until the end. Let alone at times the speech to text narrator (or maybe AI) had weird intonation which made the already poor quality writing worse.

I’m sorry, I know this review sounds harsh. But this book/audiobook feels really unpolished and rushed.

Unfortunately the narration and the way the author writes really irks me
