It was just okay.

It was, u fortunately, a slog to get through. I was bored and annoyed at the ineptitude of the characters.

The Antiquity Affair - Outstanding

My sincere cudos to the two authors of "The Antiquity Affair."
This book had everything about exciting adventures throughout. I was personally intrigued by the way Lee Kelly and Jennifer Thorne, in a subtle way, brought the attention of prejudices as they existed at that time in history. Unfortunately, some still exist today.
I would hope to see a movie made about this book. Then, I could visibly see the book in action. I would also enjoy seeing all of the interesting countries Leila and Tess experienced.
I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Lee Kelly and Jennifer Thorne's collaboration.

An adventurer story worth reading

You had me at Ancient Egypt archeology + female protagonists. While no Amelia Peabody novel (my favorite), it was still a fun adventure story. Did I roll my eyes at the romance? Yes, but I do that with almost ANY romance story.

The one thing I disagree with is this being categorized as a YA novel. Though the characters are young, they are young ADULTS.

It's an adventure worth listening to on your next long road trip or flight!

Engaging at a good pace

Smart. Funny. And an all round good set up for a series! Very much enjoyed it!

Interesting up to a point

Interesting up to a point but then just marking time until really boring. Could have been better if there was any depth to the plot.

Excellent Adventure

This was a wonderful audio novel. It started a bit slow but picked up early on. Some of the story lines were quite stressful; I was completely enthralled. I look forward to the next adventure!!

What a great story! The swashbuckling adventure felt like an Indiana Jones story, just missing the titular hero. A recommend read from me.

I really enjoyed this book! "The Antiquity Affair" is an exhilarating and empowering adventure that combines the excitement, treasure hunts, and comedy of "The Goonies" and "Indiana Jones" with the historical intrigue and puzzle-solving of "The Da Vinci Code." It’s a fun-filled story that follows two intelligent and relatable sisters who, in the backdrop of 1907, courageously make their own way in a man's world. With its captivating writing style (each chapter is written from the first-person perspective of sisters Lila and Tess), clever twists, and vivid descriptions, the book kept me engaged from start to finish. The audiobook enhances the experience with incredible performances that bring the characters to life. A refreshing and empowering story, it celebrates the strength of female protagonists and their remarkable fight against evil. A must-read or listen from two of my new favorite authors. I really hope they make a sequel!

Great book!

Highly recommend this one! It is a fun book with some history and suspense. Lee Kelly is one of my favorite authors!

Young adult title

Great cover that also ties into the story well. Best suited for YA literature. Love the feminine heroes.
