Issues

The story was great but I found some inconsistencies. Nia, unsure of spelling, is she a doctor or a nurse as both we said. Otherwise the story and narration was fine nothing wrong and I enjoyed the book other than that issue which to me is huge as I am a nurse.

Let GO OF MY THROAT

This book had me by the throat, especially by the end!! I had to put it down for a few minutes but then couldn’t stay away and was right back to it! Gah, will I survive the series??? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mental and emotional roller coaster

This book really captures the attention and keeps you listening in one sitting if at all possible. Great continuation to the Age of Embers, book 1. A few new characters, a LOT of action and family, neighbors, real type people. And that AI Queen is something to be watchful of, as you will see. Kevin brought the characters to life so well you forget it's just one person "reading" a book to you. The people are real and each different as you are listening to it. The separate personalities are very apparent. Overall a great continuation of the story, and exceptional presentation by Kevin.

Very complicated Apocalyptic plot

Ryan Schow has tried to cram every possible scenario in the Age of Embers. There is Fire Dumas and his personal war with a human trafficker that is going on while Chicago burns. And there are other such subplots, but the the book is centered on Fire's viewpoint, it's in first person. That makes it a little confusing. All in all, it's action packed and full throttle. There is never a dull moment. So one can overlook the crowded plot because of this. Kevin Pierce's narration keeps the pacing just right. Without him, it wouldn't work. He makes the story come to life. On to book three.

OMG! Scary Shit!

The reality this story portrays makes my heart shudder and my bones quake! Are we prepared? Can we survive? Do we have what it takes?
Will we just go screaming into the night?
Ryan has done an awesome job of entertaining....or warning? Depending on how you take this story. Awesome read! Well worth the money! Grab this series if you think you can handle it!

Exciting

The story flows very well and the characters fully developed. I found myself rooting for the main character and carried along the emotional Rollercoaster of the story. I would definitely recommend this book to friends and family.

Another Fine Tale

Ryan Schow definitely did not disappoint and an excellent performance by Kevin Pierce as usual! can't wait to delve into the next one!!
