Acerca de esta escucha
Here are the great stories of the Heroic Age, from the myths of the making of the universe to the death of Heracles. Set against the colorful background of Greece and the Aegean, the adventures of heroes such as Perseus the Gorgon-slayer, Dionysus, Theseus, and Jason and the Argonauts once again come to life.
In this skillful retelling, these tales are as vivid and exciting as when they were first told 3,000 years ago. The story of ancient Greece is continued in The Tale of Troy.

C. S. Lewis's dazzling allegory about Heaven and Hell - and the chasm fixed between them - is one of his most brilliantly imaginative tales, where we discover that the gates of Hell are locked from the inside. In a dream, the narrator boards a bus on a drizzly afternoon in Hell and embarks on an incredible voyage to Heaven. Anyone in Hell is invited on board, and anyone may remain in Heaven if he or she so chooses. But do we really want to live in Heaven?

Historia
Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret - at least, that’s what she thinks.... But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well...she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth....

Historia
Seventeen years ago, King Odysseus sailed to war with Troy, taking with him every man of fighting age from the island of Ithaca. None of them has returned, and the women of Ithaca have been left behind to run the kingdom. Penelope was barely into womanhood when she wed Odysseus. While he lived, her position was secure. But now, years on, speculation is mounting that her husband is dead, and suitors are beginning to knock at her door. No one man is strong enough to claim Odysseus' empty throne—not yet.

Its okay for kids.
The narrator could be better. The story is told for an audience of children so it's quite filtered.

Captivating
Greek legends are fascinating. This has a great balance between diving deep into individual heroes and connecting the whole story together from Era of Titans to the Great battle.

Irritating Audio
The book does a good job of telling an overview of the Greek Heroes. My complaint is that the audio has some sort of rythym similar to being paused, forwarded, and then restarted after each sentence completes in much of the reading. It's as if the audio is actually a patch work.

Great
I greatly enjoyed this title and can recommend it to anyone. It was a lot of fun. The speaker was easy to listen to. Also I do believe it can be recommended for teens as well as adults; many of the more graphic ideas in Greek myth have been glossed over. It's fun, easy to listen to and an easy way to learn more about Greek mythology.

This is a must-have yes, I see you reading the comments 👀 get this book! It’s so good!
I loved this book! It opened me to the fascinating world of Greek mythology, and this book has given me hope in life. At first, I didn’t really have a goal in life. Just, to live. But I found this book, and a whole new world was opened up to me! Now I KNOW what I want to be in life! Thank you so much Roger Green! You’re the best! Highly recommend this book to ALL AGES!!!! Have a nice day :) note: I am now 37 and I am a historian for Greek mythology. This is the book that got me into this. Love it!
