Great Story! especially if you know the California

if you're familiar with the Pacific Ocean in the California coast this is a great story involving not just a person but also all the environmental aspects of the animals in the sea

the story of the Island of the Blue Dolphins has always been one of my favorites it brings back so many memories of my childhood. I believe I was eight years old when I first was read this story and once I found it on Audible I just had to listen to it once again

Fantastic Book

I love this book because it is a story I heard about as a Californian but never read. Now it comes to life in a rich production with music and sound effects. The book reminded me of a cross between Robinson Crusoe and My Side of the Mountain. This is a delightful book that inspired me to research local indigenous people. I highly recommend it.

Great Story

Done very well. Only complaint is that music is a little loud in some parts, and chapter links do not correlate with book.

I remember this story from many years ago and have always wanted to read it again. Now I want to see the movie, I think there is one! Simply loved it! Great job by Tantoo Cardinal.

The recording sounds like the same I listened to on cassette tape in the early 90s.

My children read this in middle school. It won an award for the book. so when I saw it on sale. I purchased to read. Great survival story. I really enjoyed it.

the authentic indigenous narration

the thought of being isolated on island is very attractive to me. the bravery if this young native girl provides a good read for young readers for both sex.
