Beautifully written story!

Memphis and Vivian’s story unites a surly 5th generation vintner and a singer/songwriter in town on a working vacation. I had great empathy for Memphis who struggles under the heavy weight of the financial consequences of his father’s incompetence. He’s overextended, overworked, and losing sleep due to the vineyard’s red ink. Vivian is a flirtatious and vivacious beauty whose interest in the sexy bartender comes to a screeching halt when she hears his name and realizes he’s the stern big brother of the friend she came to visit. Memphis is determined to keep the vineyard’s secrets to himself while Vivian’s flirtatiousness hides the betrayal she feels after her boyfriend of 3 years cheated on her. It’s a tender and enlightening coming of age romance as both characters learn that relying on oneself leads to an overwhelming and unsustainable burden that destroys the joy in life. I loved this couple’s flirtatious banter, their sexy chemistry, and experiencing them finally finding their soft place to fall. It’s a beautifully written story with appealingly vulnerable characters in a beautiful setting that came to life in my mind with the two author’s beautiful descriptions. I listened to the audiobook version and I really enjoyed the entertaining narration performances of Marcio Catalano and Carly Robbins.

Sweet and easy read

This was my first Carly Robins audio and I would love to listen to more! She portrayed Vivian so well. Marcio was perfect for Memphis. This audio kept my attention and really enjoyed it.

great series

I loved the first one and this one was great too. I really enjoyed reading this author.  I look forward to reading more books by this author in the near future.
