Bad narrators and bad editior.
The first 3 books of the series was great, however the narrator change was a bad move and the story line in the next 3 books has been hard to follow and it was just bad.

Narrator switch
Although I loved the story line, it was a bad move to change the Narrator right in the middle of a series. I love Kevin Pierce for this genre and it was a shock to hear a different Narrator in books 4-6. I continued the series because I was invested in the characters and story, but doubt I will spend the money on another book.

I liked it, loved the first ones better
A lot of reviews mention the narrator, I thought he was better than they did.
The story was a little bit different than the first few books.

definitely not like the first three books
The narrator for books 4 through six ruined the way the story was going from books one through three. whereas the first bundle the narrator had a more serious tone, this narrator sounds goofy as hell and the voices that he uses for some of the characters ruin the character development that was made in the first bundle, why did the narrator change, it's horrible.

Choice of narrator can ruin a great story
I was absolutely loving this series, so I bought the 4-6 book package before I realized Kevin Pierce wasn’t the narrator. I honestly don’t know if I can get through this. His emphasis on key words makes it sound like he’s always pissed off even in parts where he’s supposedly being gentle. This was just the wrong choice of narrator for this book. This is just my opinion. Makes the whole second half of the series just mediocre.

Good story but…
I think I would’ve enjoyed the story more if there had been a different narrator. Just had trouble getting past the narrator.

Narrator for Kids Books
As many others have noted, the narrator change was just a poor, poor choice. The first three of this series were read for adults. The final three seemingly read for children.
Voice inflection was off for the scenarios they were facing. Jax and Bishop were transformed from wise survivalist-type men, into grumpy old angry men. Ben and the younger crew from the first three books were transformed from young intelligent-sounding boys to whiny adults, some rather effeminate. It felt as though the narrator hated the book, genre or premise and was mocking the author's work. Repeated mispronunciations of common words added to the bad narration.
It's really a shame as it was quite distracting and deflected my focus from the story. Truly a shame.

A fun read/listen!
This is a well written continuation of the series!
It had been a long minute since I listened to books 1-3, I went back and listened to that set prior to starting this set.
I did not realize there is a different narrator until I jumped in. It wasn’t an issue. Just took a couple chapters to get the ears dialed in. This narrator did an excellent job!
I highly recommend this box-set! But you need to listen to 1-3 first…
