A one of a kind world

I love how creative this story is. I first read it a couple of years ago on KU. I loved this story so much, that I knew I needed the Audible, and it did not disappoint. The narrators were Fantastic!

Dragons

Elyria and Cal were an interesting pair. She is a bit sassy and independent. Cal likes to rile her up, not spice was not high level but still had some intimate moments. They had banter and i loved Xoc he was hilarious 😂 i did enjoy the narrating it was great having it duet style and although new to John he was really good

This ia an amazing audio book. Great narrations by both Stella Hunter & John Hartley. Story had me sucked in right away and the performance made it that much better. The chemistry between the 2 main characters is phenomenal. I can not wait to dive into book 2. Highly recommend

Absolutely Enjoyed Listening!

The narrators were perfect! I enjoyed the voice especially for cal! Listening to this felt like I was in the story watching it all go down! This love story is so powerful it’s one of my top favorite couples!

Elyria and Cal are undoubtedly the most frustrating but relatable magical beings I’ve read about! The slow burn and fun banter will have you giggling!
Xoc is an absolute gem of a side character!

This is a romance, adventure with suspense all wrapped up in a beautiful story thats continues with Star Spear!!

Magical world to get lost in.

Sun Serpent is a fantastic beginning int the magical world Geneva Monroe has created for us. A world of mystery and magic and secrets. Elyria and Cal are drawn to each other. Cal is a prince on a mission with his best friend to get revenge & bring down the evil that corrupted his father and others in his kingdom.
Elyria is more than what meets the eye, she's more than just a fire wielder in a carnival show. she has a far greater purpose and Cal can sense this from the moment he played eyes on her.
together Elyria and Cal along with Xoc will travel to get answers to the secrets that have not only been kept from Elyria her entire life but ones that Cal needs answers to as well.
their Adventures are just beginning in this first book The World building is fabulous and I am extremely invested in each and every one of these characters and their story.

Narrators Stella Hunter, John Hartley bring depth and life into this amazingly addictive world.

love this sooo much

I kind of went in blind to this audiobook. I loved the Dark Oz books so I knew I would be happy with these. I usually am not a big fantasy fan because the world building makes me tired and bored. I loved this so much. the narrators were amazing like I'm going and checking out everything that they have done now. The story had me staring off into space listening instead of working. Just all around a great time. 10 out of 10 recommend.

The most EPIC beginning to any fantasy I've found in a LOOOOONG TIME.

+ John Hartley (male narrator) sounds SO ROYAL. His voice has weight and power. You can feel how deeply Callen feels things before the plot has even begun.
+ The Story reels you in from the very first chapter, making you feel like you've been dropped directly into the middle of an ongoing adventure.
+ Stella Hunter is the perfect narrator in every way. Elyria sounds so normal, despite the fact that she's evidently the key to heal the world (which broke when Cal's dad tried to kill him). (Cal is searching for Elyria.)
+ Cal sees Elyria for the first time from across the square and you can FEEL the heart eyes/fated mates kicking in.
+ These audiobook narrators are TOP TIER.
+ FATED MATES! I love the way Elyria toys with Cal, makes him work for it, and how DANG FLIRTY THEY BOTH ARE
+ DUKE, NO. HE DIDN'T DESERVE THAT! HE'S SO SWEET. WHY? AND HE KNOWS ABOUT AUROS AND THE CURSE WAS MEANT FOR ELYRIA, WHO IS THE DAUGHTER OF THE ORIGINAL ELYRIA, FIRE DRAKKON, SEND HELP

+ I love Xoc and Cal's dynamic. Cal is the idiot doing the stupid thing, and Xoc is the one who sighs SO HEAVILY and goes to make sure the idiot doesn't die. (I feel you, Xoc.)

+ WHAT DOES LAVENDER MAKE XOC THINK OF? HE STOPPED HIMSELF FROM SPEAKING OPENLY, WHICH MAKES ME THINK IT'S A WHO, NOT A WHAT.

Great narration

A little bit slow of a start to the series but the narrators helped give the story a little faster pace. looking forward to the next in the series!

This book consumed me

Geneva is an amazing person but even better author. The world is detailed enough without being overbearing but the characters are where this book shines. I've read the physical book but the audio is perfection. The choice in narrators makes it even better. Many times the narration doesn't fit well with the character but this was the best!! Absolutely must listen if you love a good fantasy with amazing worldbuilding that takes you on a journey...oh and you love a good male voice actor!
