Acerca de esta escucha

The perfect ‘will they, won’t they’ story for all romance fans.

Eve Cassidy thought Guy Foster was the only man she would ever love. Theirs was a whirlwind romance and marriage - until it all ended in tears...

Five years after their break-up, Eve still hasn’t found a reason to believe in true love. But when Foster has an accident and she discovers she’s still listed as his next of kin, Eve knows she can’t let him wake up in hospital with no one by his side. After all, those devilishly blue eyes have always been hard to say no to…

Foster isn’t sure if his poor battered brain is playing tricks on him when he sees the only woman he’s ever loved sitting next to his bedside. Maybe Eve never got over him like he never got over her? And when Eve agrees to him moving into her one-bedroom apartment to recover, it’s clear these exes have unfinished business.

Will weeks in close quarters be the making or breaking of this smouldering second chance love story? Up close and personal, old habits can be hard to break.

Contemporary romance pure gold for all fans of Abby Jimenez, Lindsey Kelk and Emily Henry.

Still the One

This book deserves to be on the NYT's best seller list! Author Aimee Brown is fantastic and her talent has been a hidden gem.

Her books are a little sweary, closed door romances.

Guy Foster, known as just Foster and Evie get a second chance at their HEA after a serious, life threatening accident that lands Foster in the ER where Evie works as a Trauma nurse.

Evie tells the ICU that they are married, so that she can visit Foster. She just left out the 'ex' part so....

I think I was crying by Chapter 10 for this couple's lost chances and the bittersweet knowing that they were each other's person and just needed to be less stubborn and communicate.

I wish I could say I liked the narrator choices. I really didn't for these characters and had a love/hate reaction throughout. Josh Wichard is a great narrator, just not for portraying Foster. He didn't even attempt a southern accent and his UK and I think Irish (hard to tell, as he attempted to flatten pronunciation for American English) accent kept popping in. Jennifer Woodward is also a great narrator, yet the southern accent for FL is different from other southern states and this grated on me a bit. I DO plan to look up their other work, as they did ranges of the opposite gender and kids very well. Pacing was good and portraying of the various emotions well done, not over the top. Josh Wichard delivered the humor well, so kudos for that.

Lastly, I hope Phil gets his HEA. I loved his character.
