More disturbing: The presence of AM2, a strategically vital fuel tightly controlled by their boss - The Eternal Emperor. They are ordered to retrieve the remaining AM2 "at all costs." But once Sten and his heavy worldlier sidekick, Alex Kilgour, board the ship they must dare an out of control defense system that attacks without warning as they move through dark warrens filled with unimaginable horrors. When they reach their goal they find that in the midst of all that death are the "seeds" of a lost civilization.

Kirsten Quinn-Kovacks is among the best and brightest of her people. She gratefully serves the gentle race that rescued her ancestors from a dying starship, gave them a world, and nurtures them still. If only the Citizens knew where Kirsten's people came from.

An unexpected and welcome new Sten novella
So good to see another Sten adventure, even a short one. After Chris Bunch's death, I thought Sten was through. In this novella, Alan Cole really captures the spirit of the old series that he and Bunch co-authored. Please do more!

Sten Stories are pretty darn good !
This is a good story from a very good story line. The Sten series is a great read and has been out for a long time. I'm happy to be able to listen to them, some of them?, as a Audible story...thank you

Nasal and sleepy
What disappointed you about Sten and the Star Wanderers?
The author, I am sure, wrote a compelling story, but I was unable to follow it or enjoy it due to the poor performance by the voice actor, Colin Hussey.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Sten and the Star Wanderers?
