Very expanded Path of the Fury

This long version of Path of the Fury might not have been necessary but it is well written and very well narrated. With this additional material the loss of Alicia’s family and the betrayal of her cadre brothers and sisters is even more poignant.

every now and then you want to give a book of six

great story with an intricate plot All the heroes villains and space offer one could hope for.
with all the work it took to create this universe, where's the sequel?

WOW!!!!

Excellent story for the ages. I waited for 10 years for this book and was not disappointed. I loved the narration of the book, and the pace and inflection were spot on. If you have read the novel, you will be happy. If you have not, you will be even more pleased with this winner.

fun story with lovable characters

This won't be the most naritivly challenging book one might read, but it is great at what it is. it takes a dip into multiple genres from military to sci-fi to even a bit of fantasy. The dialog is fun and well written, and the voice actress reading it does a fantastic job.

I do have a few gripes. Their are several side stories and plot threads that get left early for the sake of its rapid pace. The main character is never really challenged in a way that she doesn't soon overcome, and as a whole has little character development.

That said I would still recommend it for the fun world building, interesting premise, and fun characters.

Honor Harrington , scoot over!

(musing) If Honor and Alicia met up, the Galaxy would Never be the same! And, "corpsman" is pronounced "cor-man" ..Navy medical personnel that do double-digit for Marines. Just a FYI.

Unique combination of elements, pacing bit uneven

Combination of the fantastic and 'hard' physics in an interesting yarn. Recommended to all, especially those looking for strong female leads. Pacing of the text is a little uneven, some parts overly drawn out, others a bit rushed. Excellent vocal performance.

Not what I expected

I only read one Weber book before and 5 hours into this story I was thinking it was little more than than a story about a female version of Rambo ... well done, but not to my taste .... Then the author surprised me ... wow ... give the story time because the characters development is key to enjoying the ending.

Slow starter

Not a huge fan of military sci fi so when it seemed like that would be all the book had to offer I got bored. But persistence pays off. It is military sci fi but it has some good twists, too.

love it. always have! I have read this book many times over the years and now that my eye sight is getting bad I was very happy to find it here so I can still enjoy the story. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have and will again in the future.

Loved it. Was surprised to see how long it was buy I had many road hours to fill and this was a perfect fit.
