One is just a simple routine checkup at the local sanctuary to gather information on a massive black magic spell, the other twists them down a dark road that somehow ends up giving them a lead on a potential de-summoning spell. There's only one catch: It'll take them into the heart of the infamous Black Forest.

Full of giant wolves, dangerous magic, and chock-full of secrets, the Black Forest is not a place for the faint of heart...actually, it's not for anyone with a heart. If you are alive (in any sense of the word) the Black Forest was the last place you'd venture to if you wanted to keep it that way. If this suicide mission wasn't difficult enough, each of our beloved characters is faced with inner battles that could shatter their bonds with one another.

Will the dynamic duo and their feisty friends manage to survive the darkness within and come back to Coven HQ with a spell that hasn't been used in almost 200 years, or will they be lost within the forest forever?

Spirits of the Black Forest is another amazing book by Nia Rose. The story an characters are well written and developed and kept me enthralled with magic and magical beast. Alex Goodman does an amazing job bringing the voices and emotions to life. I highly recommend this book.
I received this book from the author at my request. I am voluntarily leaving my honest unbiased review.

Five out of Five Stars!

Once again we return to the magical world Raen, where Vanessa, Leon, Bobo, and Lyx are once again up against a powerful enemy that threatens their way of life. It's up to this group of misfits to band together and save the day, a second time.

Once again I'm here to say I love the works of Nia Rose, and the amazing way she tells this wondrous story. Everything is so fascinating, all the way down to the background characters. I found myself more than once enthralled in the world of Raen, listening to the amazing voice talent of Alex Goodman explain the day-to-day life of the witches, wizards, ogres, imps, and succubi that make up the characters of this book. I more than once snort-laughed at how things as simple as a restaurant can be ran in this setting.

It's a definite worth-while listen for anyone looking to immerse themselves in a new, unique magical world. I cannot recommend this series enough to all who seek a new thrilling story to fall in love with.

Incredible story plus amazing narration!

Wow! What a wonderful addition to the series! I never knew what was going to happen next to Vanessa, Bobo and Leon. I loved these characters in the last book and they get even better in here! I was glad this picked up mot too far after the first story. These characters go basically on a quest and run across a multitude of different characters. That Black Forest is not a place I would like to visit. There is danger, action, drama and suspense plus the author does a good job of adding humor into the story as well.

That ending gives a little look at the next book and I CAN NOT wait! I listened to this on audio. Alex Goodman is the narrator and I can’t say enough good things about his vocals! There is a ton of different characters and he brings the voices! Oh and I almost forgot…he SINGS! I really enjoyed listening to him narrate this wonderful story! He is fast becoming a favorite narrator!

The universe gets bigger!

I admit I struggled a little bit to fully grasp the plot early on, but it got more clear as it went on and the story built with increasingly impactful reveals! The narrator’s wide range of character voices made this book’s universe come alive and feel wonderfully massive. A fantastic listen! I’m looking forward to the next installments in the saga!

loved it! Story was awesome and well done as expected of Nia. Alex did epic with his new voice work too.

I enjoyed this story. I really enjoy the banter between the unique characters in this series but I felt there wasn’t enough in this story. There was a lot of action, magic and mystery though. The narration was outstanding, he really captured each character and seamlessly switched between them.
This is book 3 and continues in the series.
