One of the few books I was sad to get to the end !
While " Speed Girl " is steeped with a wonderful blend of historical facts, and an interesting blend of personal interest stories,
I genuinely wish there were more of both !
I am almost ashamed to say that I was a part of that Champ Car history, and the years of CART,
I can honestly say that I personally never had any part of the demeaning and vitriolic, terrible things said both to, and about Janet, and I most certainly hope that none of my team mates didn't either !
We were both a part of under-funded Indy Car efforts, so we were likely just a part trying to make the " show " .
I am planning to listen to
" Speed Girl " again, and hopefully maybe pick up on a few things I may have missed !
An excellent book, that I wish there were more of !
I truly hated for it to come to an end !

first time I ever heard the story of guthey what an amazing woman I love her she is just fantastic I was just a kid when she was racing but wow what an experience what a woman
