Cameron Hollingsworth is 18, gorgeous and academically gifted.
She is also trouble looking for a place to happen!
Suspecting that she is nearing expulsion from her pricey private high school, Cameron contacts her aunt Cecile Statler, and asks if she can move to her home and finish out her senior year at the public high school in Madsen, Texas. However, she did not bother to ask her mother in advance of making the call!
Nonetheless, Cameron’s mother agrees under one condition – Cameron must obey her aunt and live by any rules she establishes, no matter that she has reached legal adulthood.
Upon her arrival at her aunt’s home, Cameron meets one of her new classmates, a young man who lives on the adjacent ranch. She and Mitch Denton, are immediately attracted to each other. But after the first day of school, Mitch comes to visit and warns her about the behavior of two girls he saw her hanging out with.
But Cameron soon begins to follow the pattern of pushing the boundaries of behavior as she had done at her private school, not only at school but also in the evenings and weekends when spending time with her new friends.
And soon the morning arrives when she finds herself beginning a most remarkable day, one that ends with her being unable to sit comfortably when evening arrives.
But that day also brings Cameron and Mitch closer, and they are soon to discover that the unusual circumstances that brought Cameron to Madsen will have lasting effects upon both of their lives.
