This is a fantastic book! I am not sure if it can be classified as a novella but it is a prequel to the “Legends of Thezzmarr” series. I read the first three books than this one and the fourth just came out. I listened to all on here and i definitely recommend the audiobooks. All the narrators are absolutely fantastic! I know some people were the biggest fan of the female narrator in this but I loved her voice as well as the males. The story is beautiful, it does get steamy! I honestly enjoyed reading it after I already started the series I enjoy the emotional journey and learning backstories and having details filled in that I had previously wondered about.
10/10 recommend <3

Great for your legends of Thezmarr hangover

I finished Legends of Thezmarr and was just moping around so sad and then I remembered this sort of prequel (?) existed and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I honestly don’t know if I would have enjoyed it AS much had I not been invested in the world and characters already, but it’s hot and original in terms of storyline, which is always hard to find. If you’re considering, go for it!

Read between LOT book 2 and 3

This narrative could certainly be its own capsule of a story, but I appreciate the glimpse into Wilder’s past, the complexities of wraith purity versus “shadow touched,” and Talemir and Drue’s relationship. I am glad I took the pause following the conclusion of book 2 as it is the perfect dose of escapism to explain Wilder’s actions.

Amazing backstory for the series!

Love these characters. Very relatable, realistic personalities overall. Definitely fits best after Book 2-Vows & Ruin, before Book 3. You can tell that Talemir is such a smooth operator with the ladies, but he’s certainly found his challenge match with Drue. The narrators deliver a realistic portrayal.

Fantastic!

Amazing read, I read this book after “Vows & Ruin” for emotional impact as suggested by the author and I loved it. Goes down smoothly and refreshing like a tall glass of water. Absolutely recommend as a standalone and definitely as apart of the Legends of Thezmarr series. A must read. Highly recommend!

Much needed

This was much needed for the series. It’s super important and gives context. Really easy read and enjoyable

Excellent book

Excellent book. I loved the characters and the story. I think the female narrator read a little slow but you can always speed up the narration.

Great standalone story

Fast pace enemies to lovers Romantasy. Good story, fun adventure and an easy quick read and great performances by the voice actors.

Good prequel

This book is meant to be a standalone, but I really think it’s most enjoyable if read in the middle of the Legends Of Thezmarr series (after book 2), because everything makes more sense and it’s most impactful. The story is very predictable but enjoyable nonetheless.

Shadow Daddy

I fell in love with Druze and Talemir’s story. Such a SHADOW DADDY 🦇😍❤️ but this beautiful story between them is something out of a fairytale. 10/10 Definitely recommend!
