Western Clean Romance Meets Murder Mystery

This was such a fun mash up of western romance, murder mystery, with a side of gun slinger! This is book two in the series, although I read it before book one because they weren't clearly marked. Reading this one out of order didn't hurt this story in any way but it did spoil a couple things for book one. I was pleasantly surprised how clean this book was, there was a little language and some violence but nothing too graphic. I have read several books by this author and this series was the first of hers (that I've read anyway) that hasn't delved into bedroom activities. Overall, a great fun and clean read for historical fiction, romance, and western readers!

The narrator is not really bad but she is REALLY slow. She sounds more normal around 1.3-1.5 times speed. I listened at 1.7x speed and it was perfect but I tend to listen a little faster. She's not my favorite but again I highly recommend upping the speed, it really does wonders for listening to the book.

SILVER CREEK

Rebecca Johnson's uncle is killed. The bank steals the ranch. Rebecca sends a telegram to Luke an old friend. Luke comes as soon as he can. He has to figure out what's going on. I had this book a long time and just never got around to listening to it. If I had of known how good it was I would have listened to it when I first got it. I will listen to it again later that's how much I liked it. Luke gets there and protects Rebecca and the bad boys in town know they have someone to deal with thats not afraid of them. Luke is serching for the killer of Rebecca's uncle. The sheriff gets shot. Luke takes on the job of Sheriff. Luke cleans up the town. Luke and Rebecca gets closer throughout the book. I highly recommend trying this book and series. I listened to this on speed 150 and it was perfect for my taste. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.
