It was located in a bad part of town, but she'd never had a problem, until this year, when she's brutally attacked and can't get to her gun. A bedraggled man with piercing blue eyes jumps to her rescue and saves her with moves out of an action movie. She gives him her card and offers him help, but he tells her doesn't need saving and takes off like his tail is on fire.

A couple weeks later, Lou is surprised when the man calls her asking for help of a different kind. A teenage girl he cares about has gone missing in gang territory. He's afraid she'll get killed if he doesn't find her soon. Lou calls in the team to help him, but her price for that help is finding out why her silent knight, who is obviously skilled and educated, chooses to be homeless.

But will satisfying her curiosity about Thomas Griffin put her in the crosshairs of a terrorist group even more dangerous than MS-13?

A Bit Much

All the age comments were a bit much. Their love survived some ugly stuff. You'd think they'd put more focus on that.

I enjoyed this book!
I love the fact that this was romance between the middle-aged couple.
My one wish is that if the narrator was more mature voiced, it would have been perfect!
Overall this was a nice novella with Christmas vibe!

What a knight of a listen

This is my second listen to Becky and her stories are great and make you have hope in the world .
This story is about an older couple not your average 20 or early 30 . It also shows you what service people go through after they leave the service. In this story you also see the other members of Deep 6
Heroine is Lou Ellen. Hero is Thomas .
Thomas was released from service and he is having a hard time with everyday life
Lou Ellen is a lady with everything you need in life. She is at a Dallas Vetern Center to cook dinner like she always does.
Lou Ellen is attacked before she can protect herself Thomas comes to her rescue.
She wants to thank him but how will she. Grab it and find out

The narrator Matt has a nice soothing deep voice and he did the part right on

This is a wonderful addition to the Deep Six Series, packed with action, romance, suspense, humor, surprises, veterans, entertaining characters, and more. I can't wait to see what happens next in this awesome series. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, suspense, veterans, and series.

Just the absolute best story. Everything I like to listen about and more. Such a great story I will listen again and again. A keeper!!

My new favorite author!

Discovering Becky McGraw as an author accidentally is the best thing to happen to my audible account in years. The heroine of this book is 55 years old, about my same age and I can really relate to a new spin on romantic stories like this.
I was so enthralled by the narrator's delivery, I found myself completely lost in the story and I got downright irritated if someone interrupted me to talk while I was listening. Several times this weekend at work while I was cleaning up or taking out the trash, someone would ask me a question, and I'd round on them rather viciously with a "WHAT?!" because it meant I had to stop listening for a few minutes.
Narrator Matt Haynes' delicious voice seduced me for hours when he wasn't making my heart pound with adrenaline during Becky's well-written action scenes. What a pair these two make.
I'm so excited to learn that there are another half a dozen in this series awaiting me.
I highly recommend this book for an intelligent, sweet story of love, healing, risk-taking, redemption and forgiveness.

A book about love and redemption. This book brings you to the brink of emotions when you hear Griff’s heartbreaking background, and you will welcome his new lady into his life to help him find his happy ever after. Although this is book 7 in a series, this is the first one that I have read and wasn’t lost at all. I look forward into reading some of the previous ones in the future.
