Another edge-of-your-seat book from Meg Gardiner. The story was far-fetched even for fiction, but still good. I almost gave it four stars instead of five though because I have a couple of details I’d like better resolved. But overall, it was still a five star read.

Good story ruined by a bad character voice.
Good story. Narrator was overall good but the portrayal of the teenage girl was awful. At times I hated what should be a sympathetic, likable character. I had to work consciously to take that into consideration and not wish a teenage girl a stun gun to the chest.

Really good story
This is the fourth book in this series which I didn’t realize when I got the book; however, that did not prevent me from thoroughly enjoying this very suspenseful tale. There were a few references to past books but not over much. Anyone can read this book without having to read the others. This didn’t wow me like the others
I’m not sure what it was about this story that I didnt love vs the rest of the books in this series. But, it was just ok. Felt slow at times. I didnt feel drawn in by the story or characters.
