It was okay.
I feel there was a lot of unnecessary "fluff". The ending of the trilogy was just so disappointing and anticlimactic. I did not care for the narrator of book 1. He was hard to listen to. Just okay.

Disappointing
I thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 books. While I am not a fan of this particular narrator, the storyline was captivating and graphic enough to make up for it. About halfway through this last book of the series, I noticed large excerpts from the previous 2 books are used word for word in flashbacks. This occurs multiple times throughout the book. Then the last third of the book becomes a mess. It became difficult to follow what was going on. I was so confused. Then, the ending that had so much potential, fell disappointingly flat. All of the imagery used throughout, but so little used for what should have been an exquisite scene after all of the buildup to get to that point.

The end of a trilogy!!
This whole series was amazing. This final chapter tied everything up in a neat little bow and gave everyone of the characters a satisfying ending. AG is one of my favorite authors and I’m looking forward to what he does next; but in the meantime, I would highly recommend this series as I know I’ll be reading/listening again.

I did not like it sorry not sorry…
The first book was cool… solid characters, decent stories, and a different take on a Christian myth. Second book started out cool but slowly and I mean slowly descended into a blah fest of a female character that is completely inept. Other characters are constantly saying how powerful she is when she never shows it for one reason or another drawing the story out. For this book Just throw the whole 3rd book away… I can’t describe how pointless this so called main character is. She literally disappears for SIX YEARS, comes back under another identity and then the book just ends. There was no focus on the main character and her possible growth as a character or cult or the shadow watchers, or nephilim, or prophecy
You know the general lore that was established in the first book . No just sooooo many pointless words. At one point I listened on 1.7x speed just to get through it. But the narrator did a great job.
