Acerca de esta escucha

Nik Xandir Wolf's bestselling debut novel is a first-rate thriller filled with 80's nostalgia and is a "page-turner, engaging and raw,” Says Kirkus Reviews. With plot twists, you won’t see coming!

It’s 1988 and Heath Walker bartends and sells weed to keep the lights on for his ailing foster mom. But when Heath helps his beautiful paramore, Rori Burk, escape the clutches of an evil drug dealer, he kicks off a series of events that leaves his beloved mother and a crooked cop, dead.

On the run from the law, and a very gifted bounty hunter, they run to Mexico where a cartel forces them into service. All the while, Heath carries with him a ring that may hold the answers to what he’s been searching for his whole life: the identity of his real parents.

As their journey grows more and more dangerous, Heath begins to question why he is so good at hurting the dangerous people who cross his path, Until finally south of the border, all of their past and present demons converge, bringing Heath closer than he’ll ever know to the Angel of Death who wears his same ring.

"Move over Don Winslow, there is a new king of surf noir, and his name is Nik Xandir Wolf."

Nostalgia at its best, with great character development

The story was great, entertaining and provocative, with plenty of twists to keep the reader/listeners attention.

If you like 80/90s California and/or surf culture you will enjoy this book. Has a lot of references that bring up memories to things mostly forgotten today.

The characters are relatable and developed well, intertwining with each other, locations, history, vocations, and emotions to keep the reader engaged and thinking about them past finishing the book itself.
