Title fits

I usually enjoy this author but this was not one of those times. The title fits as the story is senseless.

I want my time back

This book seems like the scraps of 4 different book ideas thrown together with no rhyme or reason. I honestly don't think I'll read another book by Malfi after this.

Good Writer, Bad Story

This book conjured such a strange combination of emotions for me. I really believe this author is skilled. Their composition, their plot building, their overall style is fresh and unique. Unfortunately, they built an entire cast of some of the most hateable characters I've ever come across. I tried to force myself through in hopes of finding some redeemable quality to any of the main characters. Unfortunately, this never happened. The author weaves three overarching storylines together and the voice actors bring life to each. At no point did I find myself rooting for, interested in, or even commiserating with any of them. I just couldn't get behind it. These characters suck, and not in any sort of useful way.
