An awesome authentic romance… It is so good!
This was such a beautiful story and so authentically told. I say that because one era leads to another via letters the great granddaughter is found in so flawlessly slides into the reality of the early 1860s and her great grandmother‘s adventures as a spy and as a mistress. Although I am not one who likes adulterer stories oh I fell in love with this one and can honestly see how she could do it. I can’t say how much I love this book and the narrator who did such an awesome job. She had the perfect tone and flow for the southern accent and the dizzying romantic scenes and the male voices so kudos to her she was great! I absolutely love this book as I said and can’t wait to read more by this author.

deception comes to light
It was a bit disturbing to hear about infidelity back then. I applaud her spirit of adventure being a spy(all for not). It's disheartening to find out that an ancestor was a cheater and liar. Sometimes secrets are best left just that secrets, because it lowered my opinion of the perpetrator. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.

Fun and intriguing Mystery
What a cool story! If you love mystery and suspense with plenty of twists, this is the book for you. This author is also the narrator. Who better to be the voice of the story? I was pulled in right away and on the edge of my seat. I love the premise of secret letters from the past revealing secrets. I don't want to give away any of the surprise. This is a must read/listen for mystery fans. You'll be hooked!
