It's a wonderful (dark) world!

George S. Irving was a legend of being a famous, award-winning comedian and actor! The narration and the music fit together! In More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, the music was written and played with Korg M1, and when I purchased Korg M1, because of the harp from Tales of Phantasia for the SNES, the instruments from the audiobook were included, like the Waterphone from "Somebody Fell from Aloft". By the way, my favorite stories so far were "The Cat in a Shopping Bag" and "Clinkity-Clink". The narrations in the two stories cracked me up with his witty, humorous voice! The story that freaked me out was "Harold". That kept millions of children awake, because of what happened. The one thing that traumatized little kids was "The Dream", because of that woman. Ugh! But still, wonderful audiobook, yet frightening illustrations! I even watched the movie version of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Congratulations, Guillermo del Toro! You are the new H.R. Giger; I am now blind!

great fun

aweaome great fun for all ages. especially sitting around a camp fire. loved these books when i was a kids.

I loved hearing it from George Irving!! Sounded awesome and the stories were just as I remembered them. The only reason I docked a star is cause it was missing a few stories including my favorite, The Girl Who Stood On The Grave.

I grew up reading these books and I absolutely loved them! still just as creepy as I remembered them being.

some ove the music they have playing is a bit louder than the Narrator, and it's hard to hear what is said.
but over all 10/10!

I highly recommend owning physical copies of this collection purposely for the illustrations!

A great listen for Halloween season or whenever the spirit gets you.

I have read Schwartz’s collections of Scary Stories before, but listening to George Erving narrating them blew me away. The first collection was slightly abridged—not all stories were included in the original book—but the othe other two collections were delightfully frightful to listen to.
I hope to watch the Scary Stories movie someday to compare it with this frightening collection of Schwartz’s tales.

Volume levels are all over the place

The stories are great, however the volume level of the background music greatly overpowers the volume of the narrator. The narrator also increases the volume of voice throughout the story, so much that I’m constantly either having to increase or decrease the volume on my listening device to compensate.
