Sorta good….

This story was good enough to finish although predictable. Characters good enough to make a series, I think but we’ll see as i read through them. The narrator was okay but I didn’t care for the male main character’s voice, but others were okay. Could of been my mood at the time but this book wasn’t one of those I couldn’t wait to get back to. But overall this book was better than a lot I have listened to before & didn’t finish.

Twist on honor, behavior and what defines you.

This story contained the usual themes. It was interesting to see how serious Giles was about trying to do the right thing, where his lineage was concerned and being humbled in the end by his mother.
Nice to see the reversal of behavior where the men and women were concerned.

Such a fun series!

Wendy, these stories were so fun! Yes they were scandalous but I enjoyed the story lines, the couples, their humor, their love and the fun they had in bed…but it was much more than just that…please read and enjoy! It was soooo worth the money and or the credit! Keep writing Wendy and Ashford is a much for the narrator…her male voices are the best! All her voices ..there is never a doubt on who is speaking! I’ve just had the the best couple of days and nights listening every chance I got!!!!

Ouch

Really tough to sister to a women’s narrative voice trying to do a “bass@ deep voice , you can hear her trying to maintain the deep voice by speaking slowly - I wanted to take a nap.

Strong females who enjoy plotting and lively banter

I liked the inclusion of childhood memories ‘tossing her older brother’s ships in the lake’. The playful banter while in the company of friends and family. Twists in the story that showed the difference in the character’s upbringing and parents’ expectations. The strong female characters who held their own in banter and conversation with the male characters.

INCREDIBLE!

This was so good. Like better than I even thought it would be. It was so hard to listen to because of how freaking RAW the tension was. Just phenomenal.

Hard to read

Maybe because I'm an American I found the wording in this book very hard to read. It maybe the haughty tone of the narrator. Overall the vibe is depressing. 50% of the dialog is introspection...imnot a fan. I much prefer communication between the couple, a little banter. Unfortunately, there isn't much comic relief so the story plods along lacking joy. It reads much more like a dire gothic novel, not a romance novel.
