Many of their friends and allies died during the world serpent's coup, and Kiru's mental mana core has been damaged. Though it'll heal with time, that isn't a luxury he can afford. Word of the psion's exploits has reached his home in the powerful Kingdom of Blades, and his family's enemies are determined to hunt down the members of Pandemonium.
Forced to flee along with his crew, Kiru must head to the Torn Empire in search of a method to quickly repair his core. Pirates, savage islanders, and monsters lurk around every corner, and his resilience and alliances will be tested.
