Ruthless husband
I don’t like that the author has racist issues and never makes the characters deal with it. An example is that Luca family is racist how can he maintain his position as the head of the family knowing that someone in his organization may not like the idea of a future mafias leader could be his son. Who is black it seems to me Lucas would need his parents support to ensure his wife and children safety. That where the story is a let down glad Amber and Luca got together but the author should have dealt with the racism in his family. The author introduced racism in this story and her other story but doesn’t allow these heroes in her story to deal with it the author ignores that part of the story. It would have been a better story if Luca had addressed the racism in his own family not just have Amber be the only one to deal with the racism issues with her crazy family. His family disown him because he married Amber it seems to me the author should have dealt with the racism in Luca family.

The excellent story telling of Ms Taylor is still at the top of her game!
If I could dislike anything about a Theodora Taylor book it would be that this one ended in a cliffhanger other than that, she is the Queen of BwWm swirl!
