Excellent Current Event and History Primer

This was a slow start for me, as I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I eventually got hooked and now consider this a MUST read for my teenage children to understand a bit more about the Mueller/Russian probe. I am also encouraged by this wonderful, uplifting story that crosses political divides and inspires me to do the same. I wish I had the pleasure of knowing this woman personally, and having others like her in my life.

A must read!

KT did a marvelous job of writing and reading to us her story. Very historical in nature and gives us an inside look of the life of Deputy Defense Secretary in the White House. I look forward to more of her works.

Maybe the most insightful book of our time. McFarland is a national treasure with her experience, intelligence and perspective!

The Real truth about so many things that happened in Washington and in our country. Not just observation, but a sharing of the immersive experience of being there.

Great, insightful,articulate ideas

I’ve always been a fan of KT McFarland, for decades. When she’s on the news I always stop, listen and learn from her. She’s a feminine version of Charles Krauthammer which is the ultimate compliment I can pay her.

The only downside of the book is an overly long description of the hell she went thru at the hands of idiots in Congress. Maybe that was her intent, of making it painful to listen to its never ending length to give a better sense of what she experienced first hand.

Beyond that, there’s a great deal to be absorbed from this book, as to geopolitical nuances, what it takes to be a great leader in the annals of history, and not just judging politics of the day by what they do for oneself but to understand the bigger picture.

If she ever ran for the Presidency she’d have my vote! And I’m a male (the name shown here happens to be incorrect).

The tasteful truth

If you would like a good piece of hope for the future K.T. McFarland will give it to you. She gives you a look at the nasty side of Washington D.C. without hate or spite. She gives you facts about the Trump Whitehouse beginnings as well as her experience there. She lets you know about the Moller investigation as well. She gives you US history and most of all hope for the future. I highly recommend this book to anyone that cares deeply for these United States of America.

Outstanding book

Loved this book so much. The writing and the narration was second to none. Great job KT.

Keep reading, it gets better...

Although I agreed with most of her ideas on the Trump and other Presidential doctrines, the first half of the book was pretty dry. Sometimes I felt "preached to." I'd give the first half a three star out of 5 stars.
The second half of the book shines when the author talked about her personal experiences--5 out of 5 stars!
When she talked about the FBI setting her up for perjury, the story I purchased the book for, I was thoroughly engrossed. Her President Reagan story at the end made me cry; it was so touching. So overall, I gave the book 4 stars, wishing the first half could have been written as interesting as the second half.

Must read.

Loved it. everyone should know what she has to say. One of the best understandings of those who esteem President Trump. Those who hate him but so have integrity should devour this book.
