The Twentieth Century was widely known the “American Century.” The United States of America led the world economically, militarily, and even morally. Her families and communities were strong, her currency was sound, and her military was second to none. But as the new century opens, America staggers from one crisis to another and her leaders squabble rather than lead. Her enemies openly mock her around the world and brazenly attack her vital interests. At home, her citizens are divided against one another more than they have been in generations. The culture war rages and every passing election only draws more vitriol and animosity from either side. Americans need to relearn what made our country great, even when the Republic was only a few years old. Americans need to know what it means to be American once again. America will not be healed from the Oval Office or the halls of the Capitol, but around our kitchen tables, by our communities, and from our churches. But where do we start? Why is the American Experiment failing today, and what must be done to restore our great nation?
