Wonderful Plot, Excellent Writing

I love it when a book brings an excellent plot, great characters and a well written manuscript to the reader. This pg13 passionate story tells Kathryn's journey of loosing her husband but finding God's gift so much better. There are no gaps in this book. It's one of my favorites. The prayers and scripture are used in such a real life way that it strengthens the reader's faith.

I loved this book by Tamera. although I did get mad at Larson several times for thinking bad about his wife. I know that was the authors way of keeping us engaged in the book. I can't wait to read the next one.

Great start to this series!

This was such an interesting tale of redemption. How so often we fail to see what is right in front of us. After this I can’t wait to start the next book. Well worth a credit.

Deep and heartfelt, believable characters

Really excellent. Deep characters making believable choices, and a climax that had me on the edge of my seat (at least figuratively!) I really felt for the characters, and while at times their choices frustrated me (a lot) I always understood WHY they were making those choices. I also appreciated how the growing faith of the characters felt very natural to the story rather than forced.
Just be aware, this story does have very frequent descriptions of desire and intimacy within marriage. Not graphic or steamy in the slightest, but personally, I wouldn't have wanted to read this one before I was married, because the longing husband and wife to be intimate with each other is a repeated theme within the context of the story.

As far as the audiobook goes, my only complaint is that there was never a pause or anything else to indicate when the scene changed, and it was jarring to be listening and then suddenly have the story shift to a completely different day or even character perspective. The narrator was great though.

Heartbreaking then redeeming!

Hard to read for a while due to the heartbreak and emotional pain. Well written.

Pure and sweet

I really enjoyed this book. In the beginning, I disliked the main male character so it took a little while to give it a real chance, but I stayed with it, and it really impressed me thru the remainder of the book.
It was compelling and thoughtful, and most importantly, full of Christ. I loved it!

Catherine’s faith and commitment to Larson

I’ve read this book twice now. Larson and Catherine have been married for 10 years and have no children. The marriage is not what it should be. Larson is suspicious of every man who befriends his wife. On Christmas Day, he ventures off on business without telling his wife. Instead he leaves her a vague note. While enroute, in the snowy winter, someone ambushes him and tries to kill him. He hides in a shed, which catches fire. A loving couple minister to his wounds and spirit for 5 months. In the meantime, Catherine, now pregnant, struggles to maintain the ranch, but the cattle keep getting poisoned. She meets with the fraudulent bank owners and things take a downturn. Larson, with burn scars, returns after 5 months but Catherine is not at the farm. Larson searches for her. But obstacles, both inwardly and outwardly, keep himfrom revealing his identity to her.

absolutely loved this book!!! I couldn't stop listening to it. the reader did a wonderful job.

Had a hard time attending to business.
I was excited to continue with story. It did not disappoint
