There was a time when Israel could do no wrong in America's eyes. That time is long past, and justly so - no nation is absolutely perfect, particularly not one that is engaged in a conflict as long as the Arab-Israeli conflict. But the myth of the perfect Israel has been supplanted by a far more deleterious myth: the myth of the evil Israel. This new myth has so pervaded contemporary culture that the history of Israel - as well documented as it is - has been recast and retold to fit a false narrative of Israel as violent occupier.

Superb audiobook
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is a must read for those interested in learning more about the Arab-Israeli conflict. There is so much misinformation perpetuated by the mainstream media. This book brings some clarity to a very complex and volatile issue.

Good history lesson

Abundant facts, rational conclusion, clear bias
Although the pro-Israel bias can be too much at times, the historical review is informative and the conclusions made are logical. I plan to pair this with a more critical analysis. Overall, this a good book that I will recommend to anyone interested in Israeli history.

100% objective unbiased approach on the topic of the Jewish people and their land Israel. This book is very well documented!
The author addresses what many avoid when defending either the Jews or Palestinians and their right to live peaceably.
This is the way investigative journalism should be. I highly recommend this book if you are interested in the history of modern day Israel as it correlates to its ancient history, and it’s God given promise of a land that God promised to give Abraham in Genesis 12.

Through History from One Side
Historical background provided. Seems a quality take for a generally pro-Israel POV. Would appreciate an anti-israel companion for comparison.

Well written and comprehensive
This is by far the best history of Israeli Arab conflict. It doesn’t gloss over Israels mistakes but it makes very clear which side wants to live in peace and which side doesn’t.

Reading this book is an enlightening journey into the past, the present, and the future of something much bigger than just antisemitism. It is a journey of understanding fundamental truths about the 'why's more than the 'how's. As an avid history and politics reader, so much of what I've read in this book opened for me new channels of knowledge, broadened the realms of my query, and ignited my thirst for more.
