Finally!! I was waiting on this last book!

At the end of Nate’s book, we learn that the Gentry brothers have a sister! This is her story. Kinsey discovers that she has brothers after the unexpected death of her mother. She also learns that her brothers own a biker bar and decides to wait a year, after college graduation, to look up her brothers. Unfortunately, when Kinsey finally goes to Aces & Eights, she’s told that her brothers have sold the bar. In fact, they haven’t and the bar is still a front for an undercover FBI team...one of whom is Rand Stevens. Rand is intrigued by the young woman who is asking questions about the Gentry brothers. He needs to find out who she is before he mentions her to his boss, Nate Gentry. Kinsey is insanely attracted to Rand and makes a move...she really likes Rand and is disappointed when he runs out like his pants are on fire. Rand can’t believe that the beautiful woman, whom he just slept with, is claiming to be the Gentry’s sister. He would have known if they had a sister...until he speaks with Nate...then Rand feels like a douche. Of course he can no longer pursue something with Kinsey...what with the ‘bro code’ and all. When Kinsey finally meets her brothers, their wives and kids, she’s overwhelmed. After being on her own for a year, she now has a large family...particularly, 3 large, overprotective older brothers. Will her new found family get in the way of an HEA for Kinsey and Rand? Or will Rand’s past get in the way? Lots of action equals a grand finale for the Aces & Eights series.

I am so happy that this book is finally available in audio. The narrators did a great job. Sad that the Aces & Eights story has come to an end though.

Great story! End of a wonderful series..

Favorite book in the Aces and Eights series. And I will admit I did cry and time or two. Loved everyone in the story. Well, with the exception of Sebastian, he was an absolute POS!

I loved the love and romance that was all Kinsey and Rand. It was perfect. And the story was just enough of THAT and a little bit of mystery and Kinsey’s being hurt and every brother AND Rand wanting to kill Sebastian.

I’m sad to see this series end.

There was graphic sex and the F-bomb was used 8 times.

As to the narration: Amy McFadden was awesome with her voices and emotions when she read. Brian Pallino has a good reading voice and does great men’s voices but, unfortunately, he’s like Sebastian York, who narrated the other 3 books, and his women’s voices really suck. BUT better a woman with a deep voice than a man that sounds like a girl.

Great way to end the series

I have been so excited for Kinsey's story. Kinsey just found out she has three brothers and decides she wants to see from a distance what they are like. When she meets her alpha overbearing brothers and there friends, she never expects to fall for one.

Rand lost his daughter and stopped living. Kinsey brings light back into his life and the desire to live again.

This story was short, but a great way to wrap up a series I love so much. The narrators did a great job with this story and they added so much to the experience. Great story and great narration!

Very entertaining listen

I just love this story! I have listened to all of the books in this series and I've enjoyed them all but this one is definitely my favorite. I admit that I had already read the book quite a while back but I liked it enough to buy the audio too. I am so glad I did. I loved getting to revisit the Gentry Brothers and their sister Kinsey. It had been just long enough that I didn't remember the details and I got sucked right in. Thank you, Mrs. Owens for brightening my day.

Was there so much sex or unrealistic sex that you rolled your eyes and/or skipped forward? No

The back story... The h finds a letter from her mother after she dies of a heart attack which describes her life before she was born which includes the fact that she has three brothers that she doesn't know. A full year later, she has graduated college and has a full time job, she decides to find them. She goes to the bar they own and finds out that it has been sold. The H did catch her eye and both felt an instant attraction but she left without talking to him. He sees her at her work and they decide to meet for coffee.

The Romance/Gist: The attraction turns to action but is tempered by his relationship with her brothers (that she is unaware of).

The drama explosion... The baddie strikes, the brothers create problems and insecurities dominate.
Did it feel Real, OK or contrived? A bit all over the place.

Final Notes... All ends well and we get a look at the growing families. I did like this story but was very vocal on my run while listening to the idiotic treatment by the brothers towards the H. He met her before they knew her and already had a relationship with her. She us a grown woman who can choose for herself and they all know that he is a very good man! Ugh! 😩

WOW WOW This book was absolutely positively fabulous. Loved Loved every page. Loved the story line!!!!

Sigh.. Pretty cheesy to me.

I was so glad when this book ended. it was so cheesy to me. Seriously.

Here we go: You find out you have 3 brothers, the 3 brothers find out they have a sister after 30 years. They meet each other and its as if they have known each other all their lives. And these brothers are in such protective mode that one of their closest friends and agent is told to stay a way from her, back off, leave her alone. ugh.

Girl meets guy: insta attraction, insta sex, insta love
Guy meets girl: insta attraction, insta sex, insta love.

And of course there is the brooding main character guy: I am not good enough, I can never love again, I cant be with anyone etc blah blah blah. But in this case the the author gives him a dead 4 year old daughter! Why???? There are many things to choose from for a brooding male lead character other than a daughter that died from the flu at the age of 4.

Some of the dialogue in this book was just so cheesy and *eye rolling* that I wanted to barf.

So, let me tell you about this series: The first book was great! That's it.

As far as the narration, it was good and I really enjoyed it. Amy McFadden and Brian Pallino did a great job with what they had to work with.

Ok, if read as a stand-alone

I’ve read both series, K2 and this series. I prefer story lines that are unique from each other; these just seem to have the same template and names and tragedies are just changed. This book is also shorter than the others which makes it seem like a rushed and an “insta-love” romance. I think I am over Amy McFaddens voice also; too many books in a row with her has me rolling my eyes with her emphasis on words.

If it is read as a stand-alone it may not affect you, but hearing them too close together may ruin the series for you.

Huge waste of time

Based on the previous books I had higher expectations ....I feel so disappointed, story was under developed .
